I have spent my career in human resources management and employee development.

It’s a career that suits me, because I am fascinated by people and what makes them work or work harder or smarter or not work at all. How and why we learn and the collective and individual impact that we can have on organisations.

It is a career that has taken me all over the world and given me the opportunity to work in some very interesting organisations, with some people that I have enjoyed working with and some others that I would have preferred not to have worked with.

Independent Professional

When I completed my Masters in Human Resource Management at what was the University of Wales the prospect of working with people who did not share my values or work ethic did not appeal, so I decided to become an independent professional.

  • I did not want to work for a bad manager again.
  • Neither did I want you to have to work for a bad manager
  • But perhaps most importantly I didn’t want you or I to be someone else’s bad manager.

Abeceder

My solution was to establish Abeceder a full -service employee management services provider.

What’s in a Name?

The name Abeceder was chosen because it sums up our objectives and the way we do business.

It is based on the English word Abecedar, which means to put in to alphabetical or logical order or deal with the rudiments of a subject.

The subject that Abeceder puts into logical order is employment. We do that by providing

  • information,
  • products
  • services and
  • expertise

Abeceder wants to make it easier for companies to become better employers, and believes as our name suggests that the best way to achieve this is by demystifying human resources management.

With these objectives in mind, there could be no better name for us than one, which spells out the start of something as simple as the alphabet.
